Greetings Valued Supporter,
I’m writing to you today with an important update. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and the need to take appropriate precautions to protect those most at risk. Your health and safety are our priority.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, older adults and people with kidney disease or other chronic conditions are at greater risk of experiencing serious Coronavirus illness. It is especially important for patients to take preventive measures aimed at reducing the likelihood of exposure. This includes avoiding crowds and public spaces.
Here in Baltimore, our 2020 Santé– A Taste of Baltimore scheduled for March 12, 2020 is canceled. The safety of everyone is of the utmost importance, therefore we have scheduled this event for World Kidney Day, March 11, 2021. Watch for more details. We will be honoring all sponsorships and registrations at the rescheduled event.
We believe this decision, though not ideal, is in the best interest of the entire kidney community and is necessary to protect the patients and families at the heart of our organization’s mission. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for your understanding, generosity and support. Please contact me with any questions. Your support is improving the lives of kidney patients and their families in our community and across the country. Please read our kidney patient preparedness guide to reducing your Coronavirus risk.
Each of your guests that we received emails for will receive this communication shortly. You are welcome to forward this to your guests in the meantime just to ensure we have everyone included.
Thank you for your dedication and support! Without YOU we could not possibly make our Mission a reality in our community. As soon as we have a new date we will communicate with you immediately.
