You Can Help
Here are some of the ways you can help support us:
Attend a Third-Party Fund-Raiser
Blue Crab Golf Tournament
The Phillips family lost their beloved son and brother, Michael, to kidney disease in May 2009 at the age of 26. Michael, affectionately known as Blue Crab, was a natural athlete and enjoyed playing golf with his brother, father and grandfather.
To keep Michael Phillips' memory alive, his family held the first annual Blue Crab Golf Tournament on May 24 at Nutters Crossing Golf Course in Salisbury. The tournament raised more than $4,000 for NKF-MD and will become an annual event.
Kevin's Concert, Vol. 3
The third annual Kevin's Concert, benefitting the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland, took place on Sunday, June 20.
The concert raised $1,650 for the Foundation.
Host a Third-Party Fund-Raiser
Would you like to hold an event from which proceeds benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland? Many businesses, community groups and individuals enjoy hosting activities or events to support the work of NKF-MD.
Some ideas include:
-- Donations in lieu of gifts for weddings, anniversaries, graduations, bar or bat mitzvah celebrations.
-- Holiday or group parties, such as Creative Memories or Pampered Chef, where the consultant or host makes a donation as a percentage of products sold during the event.
-- Casual dress day hosted by a company or department within a company.
-- Golf tournament, concert, bike ride, bowling party or auction.
