The Council of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians (CNNT) functions as a professional membership council within the framework of the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in the development of health policies that impact professional practices and the delivery of patient care. The Council advocates and contributes to the professional development of members through education, networking and dissemination of information related to professional practice and quality of care. The Council supports the mission of the NKF to bring help and hope to those who suffer from kidney disease through research, patient services, national organ donor program, professional education and public education.
Members of the NKF Council of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians join colleagues from across the United States and abroad to stay informed of important issues and challenges in kidney health care. They grow professionally through continuing education programs. CNNT helps to protect the interests of practitioners and the well-being of patients, and works to affect changes in kidney health care legislation and public policies.
CNNT offers frequent opportunities for collaboration and networking with colleagues to improve clinical practice and promote career advancement.
